Primers®
Substrate preparation primer
A water-based nano primer range that seals the substrate and improves adhesion. The coat before the topcoat decides how long everything lasts.
A primer is not one more coat — it seals and anchors
A nano-scale water-based primer penetrates the micro-pores of the substrate, sealing capillary channels and balancing absorption, and forms an anchoring transition between substrate and topcoat. Only with proper substrate preparation do adhesion, gloss evenness and weather performance of the topcoat mean anything.

Where Primer Series is used
Substrate preparation: plaster / plasterboard / wood cabinets · Multi-substrate use: metal / glass / plastic and similar high-traffic areas, where film durability and cleaning tolerance matter most.
- Advanced nano-molecular structure
- Superior hiding power and adhesion
- Near-zero VOC, very low odour
Full specification
Where to use it, where not to
Suitable for
- Substrate preparation: plaster / plasterboard / wood cabinets
- Multi-substrate use: metal / glass / plastic
- Primer penetration before honma top coats
Not suitable for
- Substrates with standing water or ongoing leakage
- Loose old coatings that have not been removed
Substrate → mixing → coating → curing
Substrate requirements
Application steps
- Choose by pail: light-blue 900925 penetrating sealer for plaster walls; pink Super Primer for tiles, glass, metal and composites
- Open the pail and stir until uniform, then add water if needed — up to 10% by weight, never more (excess water harms film formation and adhesion)
- One coat by roller or brush, an even film with no misses
- Once touch-dry, apply the topcoat following its own instructions
Different from conventional coating systems
| Film formation | Water evaporation, particle coalescence | A/B cross-linking cure |
| Film structure | Thermoplastic, softens with heat | Cross-linked, dense, porcelain-like |
| Coverage per Coat | Typical product level | 11-13 m²/kg◊ |
